Since 1985 the Laredo Education and Testing Services (LETS) program has been providing comprehensive HIV/AIDS and STD health education, screening, testing and outreach prevention services. The LETS program has set a high standard in providing a wide array of comprehensive HIV care services to people living with HIV/AIDS in Webb County and surrounding areas such as Zapata, Jim Hogg, and Starr County. In addition, the program has successfully provided linkage to care through evidence-based interventions by skilled staff that has yielded positive sexual health and treatment outcomes. The program works closely with public health professionals, state, federal and local partners to plan, implement, and evaluate the quality of services. LETS has been recognized at the state and national level for identifying, linking and enrolling HIV positive clients into early medical treatment. The LETS program is constantly evolving and will continue to implement best practices in HIV care, treatment and prevention in order to provide efficient client-centered care.
